We write
technical proposals,
grant
applications, engineering reports, technical specifications, operating
procedures, manuals and newsletters. Other writing work involves researching
various items and describing them for sale on the internet.
Technical writing
clients:
Canadian
Shielding, Inc. (CSI), Winchester,
Ontario, Canada. Worked with CSI's
representative to develop web page text and
project
references.
Researched competitor's web pages, then developed similar pages using
CSI's data about
Canadian shielding products.

engineering staff and sales representatives to
write technical proposals based on customer specifications. (The international company
designs and builds anechoic
test chambers for hi-tech and military purposes.) Proposals were
collaborative efforts with ETS-Lindgren's technical and sales
staff.
Successful proposals include:
- 10-meter EMC
semi-anechoic
vehicle test chamber
for Honda R&D Americas, Inc., Raymond, OH
- 10-meter and 3-meter EMC

Haynie Kallman &
Gray, Inc., Austin, TX. Wrote
technical proposals and a grant application. Discussed
design projects with civil engineers and wrote
many technical
engineering reports. Prepared municipal
utility district bond application reports and spreadsheets.
Web page creation:
We created several web pages for various purposes. Most
of the pages have multiple
links and photos.
We maintain these pages as needed. The effort includes writing the
text, taking digital photos, editing the photos in Corel PhotoPaint,
designing web page format, and uploading the files. Another step
is to check for and repair any broken links on these web pages.
We also manage an ebay store under the name of Bluestemblues - we write
listings, photograph items, research prices, answer email, and pack
items for shipping.
Other projects:
Articles and
photographs published
in a monthly doll collector's newsletter
Short article for Fredericksburg Standard Radio Post about the
Fredericksburg Art Guild in 2004.
As District Manager for Gillespie County SWCD, wrote articles and
designed the layout for a newpaper insert in the Fredericksburg
Standard Radio Post in April and November 2006. The newspaper has
a circulation of over 10,000.
