Database Design and Management
Free-lance database projects include: Annual membership directory for Texas Society of
Professional Surveyors, which has roughly 2,000 members. 2009 was the 15th
consecutive year of providing the directory in camera-ready format. One
section of the directory lists members alphabetically; another section lists
members by Texas county or out-of-state residence. It is printed
through MicroSoft Access custom reports, using a Tektronix or Lexmark laser
printer. Relational database for ETS-Lindgren's
project/customer references lists.
Relational databases for an Austin civil
engineering firm's construction inspections. Housing inspections for
this firm numbered well over 6,500 over a 6-year span, and were spread over
120 subdivisions and 67 builders. Independently designed and printed
various engineering certification letters and itemized invoices through
multiple customized databases.
Work with databases spans about 18 years. Pat can
create, manage, and maintain your relational databases. She’s used
Microsoft Access since its initial version 1.1 in 1994. For about 2
years before that, she used Borland's Paradox database software. Pat can perform a variety of database-related services according to
your particular needs, including maintaining
a list of all your major projects by client, project type, location, cost,
date, and other data that you choose.
The database can also be used for custom mail-outs with envelopes or
labels.
